My main hobby is conjuring.  I am particularly keen on close-up and table magic and the history of conjuring.

 I am also interested in castles, origami, computers, Christianity, Fellwalking and rambling, Yoga and meditation, Sherlock Holmes and crime fiction, history, travel, Spanish, Italian and music (playing my keyboards and electric and classical violins). My Favourite Links page reflects some of my interests.

I collect books on magic, Penguin “greenback” crime paperbacks and Crime Writers’ Association “Dagger” award winners.

I am assisted in all these things by Joan, my long suffering wife and by our children, Helen and Robert.
